Be Inspired Ministries respects your privacy. This policy explains what we collect when you use bimin.org, how we use it, and the choices you have.
Who we are
Be Inspired Ministries operates the website at bimin.org (“we,” “us,” “the ministry”). This policy covers the site and its account features. Creating an account is optional, you can read the Bible, watch messages, and browse the site without one.
What we collect
- Account details: your email address, and an optional display name, profile photo, and short bio.
- Content you create: Bible highlights and notes, study notes, your private prayer list and prayer sessions, prayer-wall posts and encouragements, group messages and shared resources, and video watch progress.
- Basic technical data: information your browser sends automatically (such as general request logs) and small amounts of data stored on your own device to keep you signed in and cache your work offline.
We do not ask for and do not intentionally collect sensitive information beyond what you choose to write in your own notes and prayers.
How we use it
- To provide your account and sync your highlights, notes, prayers, and progress across your devices.
- To operate the community areas (the Prayer Wall and Groups) and to moderate them.
- To send account and service emails, such as sign-in codes, email confirmation, and password resets.
- To keep the site secure and prevent abuse.
We do not sell your personal information, and we do not use it for third-party advertising.
What is private and what is shared
Private to you: your Bible highlights and notes, study notes, personal prayer list and sessions, and video progress are visible only to you. They are protected at the database level so that other users cannot read them.
Shared with members: anything you post to the Prayer Wall or send in a Group is visible to the intended audience, the community, or the members of that group. If you post to the Prayer Wall anonymously, your name is hidden from other members; however, ministry leadership can see who posted, so that the community can be kept safe. Group chats are private from other members but are overseen by ministry leadership for the same reason.
Service providers
We rely on a few trusted providers to run the site. They process data only to provide their service to us:
- Supabase, account authentication, database, and file storage.
- Cloudflare, website hosting and delivery.
- Bunny Stream, video hosting and playback.
- Resend, sending account and service emails.
Cookies and local storage
We use only what’s necessary to run the site: a session that keeps you signed in, and local storage that caches your work (for example, so the Bible reader keeps your highlights available offline). We do not use advertising or tracking cookies.
Security
Data is transmitted over encrypted connections (HTTPS). Access to your private content is enforced at the database layer so that each person can reach only their own data. No system is perfectly secure, but we take reasonable measures to protect your information.
Keeping and deleting your data
We keep your account information and content for as long as your account is active. You can delete your own posts, notes, prayers, and messages at any time. If you want your entire account and everything in it removed, contact us and we will delete it. When an account is deleted, the content tied to it is removed as well.
Children
This site is intended for a general audience and is not directed to young children. Community features (the Prayer Wall and Groups) involve interacting with other members; if a minor uses the site, we encourage a parent or guardian to be involved and aware of that participation. If you believe a child has provided us information without appropriate consent, contact us and we will remove it.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. When we do, we’ll change the “last updated” date above. Significant changes may be noted on the site.
